EX-Dragons’ Den tycoon Theo Paphitis yesterday boosted The Sun’s Earthquake Appeal by £5,000.
The businessman, 63, said: “You can’t help but be saddened and shocked by the scenes in Turkey.”

He joined big-hearted Sun readers who have donated to our appeal, which has raised almost £600,000.
Mr Paphitis, who owns Ryman, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue, added: “Times are tough but even the smallest amount from many will help.”
We launched the appeal to support the Red Cross in the wake of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
British Red Cross chief executive Mike Adamson said: “Your donations will help search-and-rescue missions on the ground and provide vital aid to those who need it most.

“We thank Sun readers for your kind support. Anything you give makes a difference.”
The official number of deaths from Monday’s mega-quake reached 16,546 in Turkey and more than 3,000 in Syria.
The grim toll surpassed the 17,000 killed in a quake in northwest Turkey in 1999.
And experts warned the survival window for those still trapped under wrecked buildings is diminishing as the days go by.
